The 2021 Outride Research Summit: Advancing Youth and Community Well-Being through Cycling

Outride will showcase the latest research that informs the impact of riding on overall health and well-being and will engage our community in important discussions around equity and access. This year, we are also excited to bring together more conversations and voices to identify actionable, evidence-based ways to develop happier and healthier youth and communities.

TransitCon

TransitCon is a free and virtual transit conference where everyone has the opportunity to speak. This conference was created with the idea that many transit enthusiast, advocates, nerds are fully engaged on social media, but are limited to the comments and threads these mediums allow. TransitCon wants to provide a space for those transit passions in a conference like formatting. The program of the conference consists of three concurrent sessions: transit professionals, open mics and 10 regional discussions.

Smart Growth America’s Equity Summit: Improving racial equity, economic inclusion and restorative justice through smart growth

Join Smart Growth America for three straight days Jan. 26-28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a three-day virtual summit where it will convene an exciting group of experts, practitioners and policymakers to discuss how to center improving racial equity in smart growth work. The impressive lineup of speakers will discuss how to promote equity in housing and land use, why strong Black and brown businesses are key to neighborhood vitality, and how to right the wrongs of past damaging transportation decisions and promote restorative justice. The centerpiece of each day is a discussion between a panel of experts, moderated by a Smart Growth America expert.

TransportationCamp DC 2021 (Virtual)

Each year, TransportationCamp DC brings together a sell-out crowd of up to 500 thinkers and doers in the fields of transportation and technology. It’s not your traditional conference. In addition to talks and presentations from big names in the field, the heart of TransportationCamp is sessions and activities led by attendees themselves. Held on the Saturday before Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting, it is a high-energy, exciting day of presentations, panels, and networking opportunities — all created and led by the diverse changemakers who attend.
