Bike Roswell! Mayor’s Ride

RIDE START TIME: 8:00AM – All rides Start at Roswell City Hall, 38 Hill Street, Roswell, GA 30075. Be ready to ride by 7:45AM.

Day of Registration available starting at 6:45 AM.

ROUTES: 19, 43 and 64 mile routes will parade down Canton Street before traveling rolling hills and flat sections as we tour the city of Roswell. Rest stops will be stocked with drinks and snacks. Pre-ride mechanical support will be provided. T-shirts will be given to all registered riders for the 19, 43 and 64 mile routes.

19-mile Challenge: A popular option with families, the 19 mile ride is flat and skips Martin’s Landing!! Bring the whole family for this easy ride.

43-mile Workout: All of the above, plus 20 more challenging, beautiful miles including a stretch along the scenic Chattahoochee River.

64-mile Metric Century: Beautiful and challenging, this metric century features more than 4,000 feet of climbing some of Roswell’s most notorious hills.

ROSWELL MOVES!: Returning this year, Roswell Moves! will keep the party rocking with a family friendly festival featuring live music, beverages and lots of activities and games. Canton Street will be closed to cars and open to people on bikes and foot creating a truly unique finish line experience for riders.

Roswell Moves! An Open Streets Event

Bike Roswell! and the City of Roswell will bring “open streets” back in 2023 on Sunday, April 30th with Roswell Moves!

A five-block section of Canton Street in historic downtown Roswell, from the south end of Canton Street to Webb Street, Elizabeth Way, Norcross Street, the New East Alley, Plum Street and North Canton Street. Activities will take place from 11 a. m. to 3 p.m., while roads will close to motorized vehicles from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Bring your wheels and feet to this FREE innovative experience! Roswell Moves encourages people to explore the community by walking, pedaling, rolling, and even playing. While some vendors will be permitted in this area, attendees are encouraged to experience and savor the offerings provided by local merchants in this corridor.

Using a formula that has been in practice since the 1970s in major cities across the globe, Roswell Moves! aims to promote:
active lifestyles
alternate modes of transportation
positive environmental impacts
positive economic impacts

“Open streets programs stress the word ‘open’. Communities can turn a street into a temporary park, using this car-free space for people of all ages and abilities to flow freely in an urban area. We want to encourage people to visit and wander in historic Roswell with a new perspective,” said Lise Walker, President of the Board of Directors for Bike Roswell!, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization promoting safe cycling.

The Bike Roswell! Mayor’s Ride, will continue as part of the new Roswell Moves! festivities again in 2023. This full-supported, recreational bike ride will offer distances of 18, 42 and 64 miles, all routes beginning at 8 a.m. Lunch will be provided for all Mayor’s Ride participants. The Mayor’s Ride is the largest fundraiser of the year for Bike Roswell!.

Roswell Moves: An Open Streets Event

ROSWELL, Ga. – Five blocks of Canton Street in historic Roswell will be converted into a car-free park on April 30th 2023. Back for a Fourth year, Roswell Moves! is an “open streets” event, transforming the pavement into an urban playground. Bike Roswell!, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, manages the event, with substantial support from the City of Roswell and sponsors.

Festivities will begin at 8 a.m. with the Bike Roswell! Mayor’s Ride, a recreational bicycle ride with options from 18 to 64 miles. It is the 18th year for the recreational bicycle ride, which begins and ends at Roswell Area Park. For Roswell Moves Canton Street, from Heart of Roswell Park to Woodstock Road, will close to vehicular traffic from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities will take on the pavement, sidewalks and yards in this area from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A registration fee is required for the Mayor’s Ride, while admission is free for other Roswell Moves! activities.

2021 Bike Roswell! Mayor’s Ride

The Bike Roswell Mayor’s Ride returns Sunday, August 29th, 2021! Bike Roswell is excited to continue a great tradition with the city’s mayor, Lori Henry. There will be multiple routes of varied distance traveling over rolling hills and flat sections next to the Chattahoochee river through the city of Roswell. Join Nantahala Outdoor Center and From The Earth Brewing Company for a scenic guided bike ride along the Chattahoochee River Corridor followed by a brewery tour and tasting.
