Urban Confidence is the third course in Bike Walk Macon’s three-class beginner’s bicycling course for adults. This class will help you improve your experience and safety so you can pedal our city’s streets. We’ll cover general bike safety, how to communicate with other commuters, how to use dedicated bike infrastructure and a review of state and local laws. The class will help students be predictable, visible, and confident while biking in an urban environment.
Students may sign up for the three-class course or individual classes.
This class is FREE to attend for adults 18 and up, but please pre-register at urbanconfidence.eventbrite.com to help us prepare for the class.
Registration begins at 9:00am in the Luther Williams Field parking lot. Class will begin at 9:30am and last for about 2 hours. We’ll have FREE Bike Walk Macon lights, snacks, and water. Be sure to bring your helmet!
Bike Walk Macon has a limited supply of bicycles for use, though we recommend bringing your own bike since it is best to learn to ride on the bike you will be using most. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to borrow a bike.
This class is made possible by a Georgia Office of Highway Safety Grant.
