The 30th Annual Challenge of the Centuries Bike Ride will be held on May 23, 2020 in Hartwell, Ga. The rides are: Smith-McGee Sojourn-37miles, Ruckersville Ramble-100 Kilometers, and the Calhoun Falls Century-100 miles. The rides will start and finish in historic downtown Hartwell on Depot Street. After the rides there will be a celebration in the Southern Hart Brewery event room on the square. More information.
The Six Gap Century’s ultra challenging route takes you up and down six of the steepest climbs in the North Georgia Mountains. Test your stamina with more than 11,200 feet of vertical climbing over the 104 mile course. The Three Gap Fifty’s alternative route offers half the gaps and half the distance, but is nevertheless a demanding and challenging course at 58 miles.
The 20th Annual Beautiful Backroads Century Bike Ride in Cartersville, Ga. Registration is at 6:30 a.m. and ride starts at 8 a.m. Lunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sample several Anheuser-Busch beers after the ride and enjoy live music. Sign up today. The Wilson100 is named after Scott Wilson, one of the past presidents of the Southern Bicycle League who made tremendous contributions to improving cycling in the Atlanta area. Scott Wilson was in his late 30’s when he passed away in September 1986 of cancer. This being the original SBL Century ride that started in the 1970’s was re-named for Scott in 1987.
New for this year is the 100 Mile Bailout which will be 78 miles in length. On site registration and packet pick-up starts at 6:30 a.m.

South Georgia’s toughest century is back with 108, 70, and 40 mile options. There will be full SAG support along the ride with SAG stops every 20ish miles and a rolling SAG vehicle for all your mechanical needs.
