GOHS Capitol to Coast 2021: Macon

Governor’s Office of Highway Safety will be debuting “Capital to Coast 2021” on May 3-7, 2021. The inaugural launch of this campaign will include a 5-city educational tour, with stops in Atlanta, Athens, Macon, Savannah, and Brunswick. To help decrease fatality numbers, the Capital to Coast 2021 tour will focus on issues like helmet safety, the “3 Feet Law,” tips for both motorists and cyclists on sharing the road, and other bicycle safety issues.

The Macon event will begin and end at Tattnall Square Park located at 1155 College St, Macon, GA 31201, the main parking lot is located on Oglethorpe St. More information.

Revisit the new Walnut Creek Connector Trail and celebrate the newest section of the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail that connects the Otis Redding Bridge to the River Trail in the Ocmulgee National Monument. Macon Bike Party’s Ugly Sweater Ride

Oh, what fun it is to ride! Join Bike Walk Macon for Macon Bike Party’s Ugly Sweater Ride Thursday, Dec. 10. Meet at the Fall Line Brewing Co. outdoor courtyard at 6 p.m. for the monthly slow roll. Get in the spirit of the holidays and ride.

Meet at Fall Line Brewery located at 567 Plum St., Macon, GA 31201 at 6 pm. Ride will depart at 6:30 pm and return by 8 pm. Helmets are required and free bike lights will be available. Riders are welcome to join or depart the group at any point. After we ride, all participants will enjoy half off of your first beer.
