Roswell Moves: An Open Streets Event

ROSWELL, Ga. – Five blocks of Canton Street in historic Roswell will be converted into a car-free park on April 30th 2023. Back for a Fourth year, Roswell Moves! is an “open streets” event, transforming the pavement into an urban playground. Bike Roswell!, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, manages the event, with substantial support from the City of Roswell and sponsors.

Festivities will begin at 8 a.m. with the Bike Roswell! Mayor’s Ride, a recreational bicycle ride with options from 18 to 64 miles. It is the 18th year for the recreational bicycle ride, which begins and ends at Roswell Area Park. For Roswell Moves Canton Street, from Heart of Roswell Park to Woodstock Road, will close to vehicular traffic from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities will take on the pavement, sidewalks and yards in this area from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A registration fee is required for the Mayor’s Ride, while admission is free for other Roswell Moves! activities.

Bike Rodeo – Bike Safety Clinic

Join the City of Newnan, Newnan Police Department, Coweta County Parks and Rec and Bike Coweta for a free-to-the-public Bicycle Safety class. Learn the rules of the road, get a helmet and bike check, and learn skills such as start/stop, avoiding obstacles, and changing directions. More information.
