You want bicycling in Georgia to be safer, more convenient, and more accessible — so do we!

We believe that the most effective bicycle advocacy in any community is led by locally-based advocacy organizations and cycling clubs.

Some bicycling issues and policy changes, however, can only be tackled at the state level.

That’s where we can help. Georgia Bikes exists to create state-wide improvements in bicycle infrastructure and policies that affect you. Through our “Share the Road” license plate grant funds, we’re conducting research and outreach campaigns that will contribute to safer roads and better bicycle facilities in your home town.

While we rely on our “Share the Road” grant for basic activities, we rely just as much on individual contributions and mutually beneficial relationships with organizations like yours.

Your organization, club, or business can easily support statewide bicycle advocacy by becoming a Georgia Bikes Partner. Read on, and find out how becoming a Partner can improve bicycling in Georgia and make your organization or business more successful!

How Do We Do It?

Fill out our simple partner organization application form and mail your contribution. That’s it!

What You Get

State-level policy research and advocacy.
Whether it’s a statewide survey of public perceptions on bicycling, legislative efforts such as our “Better Bicycling Bill,”  or law enforcement training on bicyclist rights in Georgia, we’re your voice for better, safer cycling in Georgia.

High profile special events and educational opportunities.
Every March, we co-host the Georgia Rides to the Capitol, where thousands of cyclists join elected officials in a demonstration of support for better bicycling conditions in the state. Every October, we host the Georgia Bike Summit, an invaluable networking and informational event for advocates, planners, elected officials, and law enforcement.

Organizational assistance and capacity building.
If you’re seeking nonprofit status, we’ll provide your fiscal sponsorship. Strategic planning? We will gladly guide you through the process.

Event Assistance.
Your organization may use 10 of our event safety signs and stands for your event(s). These bright orange, easy-set-up, stable signs can be used to make sure that motorists know cyclists are in the area for your event. We can also provide traffic cones, high visibility volunteer vests, and more.
