Serrano Century Makes Generous Contribution to Georgia Bikes

Last night, I traveled to Lawrenceville and met with the Serrano family and Tony Serrano Century Ride director Paul Jones and his wife Joyce (famous mastermind behind the Serrano ride’s delicious rest stop treats).

The Serrano Century, founded to honor the life of Tony Serrano, who was killed while riding in 2004, has always been a proud and generous Supporting Event for both Georgia Bikes and our colleagues at the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition.

This year, they took their support to a whole new level. Thanks to an excellent turnout at the April 2012 ride, the Serrano Century has donated an unprecedented $5,000 to support the Georgia-lina Bike Summit and our ongoing efforts to create a bicycle friendly Georgia

It is with our sincerest and most heatfelt gratitude that we say THANK YOU to our friends at the Serrano Century for this outstanding show of support for our mission and programs.

Be sure to mark your calendar for next year’s ride in Monroe, GA. The Serrano Century is a one-of-a-kind, truly exceptional bicycling experience! Check out our short video of this past year’s ride to see what it’s all about.
