National & Regional Nonprofit Advocacy Groups

Alliance for Biking & Walking

Alliance for Biking & Walking creates, strengthens, and unites state and local bicycle and pedestrian advocacy organizations.

America Bikes

America Bikes believes cycling can improve Americans' quality of life by providing inexpensive and sustainable transportation and recreation.

We are a nonprofit organization of bicycle community leaders that advocates for bike and pedestrian initiatives under the federal transportation bill.

Bikes Belong

The Bikes Belong Coalition was formed in 1999 as the national coalition of bicycle retailers and suppliers working to put more people on bikes more often. U.S. bicycle companies recognized that they could accomplish more for bicycling by working together than by working independently. From helping create safe places to ride to promoting bicycling, we carefully select projects and partnerships that have the capacity to make a difference.

League of American Bicyclists

The League's mission is to promote bicycling for fun, fitness and transportation and work through advocacy and education for a bicycle-friendly America.

Million Mile Greenway

Based in Atlanta, the MillionMile Greenway helps communities nationwide find and conserve greenways that connect neighborhoods and larger communities to each other, to nearby natural areas, to recreation, and eventually to greenspaces everywhere.

People for Bikes is dedicated to improving the future of bicycling. Our goal is to gather a million names of support, to speak with one, powerful voice—to make bicycling safer, more convenient and appealing for everyone.

Smart Growth America

Smart Growth America is a coalition of national, state and local organizations working to improve the ways we plan and build the towns, cities and metro areas we call home.
