Dr. Jim Lidstone is a professor in the College of Health Sciences at Georgia College in Milledgeville. Jim got involved in cycling advocacy through Live Healthy Baldwin, a childhood obesity prevention project funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Healthy Kids, Healthy Communities program. Live Healthy Baldwin’s mission is to reverse the childhood obesity epidemic by implementing policy and built environment changes that make it easier for people to access healthy food and to have opportunities for physical activity. He is chair of the Mayor’s Bicycle-Pedestrian Advisory Committee in Milledgeville and has been instrumental in the City and Georgia College attaining Bicycle Friendly Community and University status. Jim has been on the Georgia Bikes Board since 2014 and is the current Board President. He is also an League of American Bicyclists League Certified Instructor (LCI).
