Justin Bristol
Safety Education Programs Manager
As Safety Education Programs Manager, Justin Bristol oversees bicycle safety educational programs for Georgia Bikes. This includes hosting youth and adult bicycle events, training law-enforcement officers, distributing educational materials, and assisting with activities that support the growth and development of local bicycle advocacy and safety organizations in Georgia.
Justin previously worked as an educator and community outreach representative for a variety of organizations. This has included teaching middle-school social studies, working at historic sites and museums, and leading bicycle tours in downtown Savannah. He attended the University of South Carolina and earned his Master of Arts in Public History at Armstrong State University, where he researched the effects of modern transportation on historic sites and communities in Savannah.
Justin has been a competitive cyclist for more than a decade and served as the president of the University of South Carolina’s club cycling team, participated on the boards of the Savannah Wheelmen and SEGA-SORBA, and currently works as a volunteer assistant coach for the SCAD cycling team. He lives in Savannah with his wife, son, and two rescue dogs.
