2014 Georgia Bike Summit

From October 24-26, 2014, over 120 bicycle advocates, transportation professionals, and elected officials convened in Columbus for the 5th annual Georgia Bike Summit, presented by the Tony Serrano Century Ride.

Delegates representing 34 Georgia communities networked and learned best practices for improving bicycling throughout the state. The Savannah contingent wrote up this excellent summary of lessons they learned by attending the Summit.

Our Summit is the state's only conference dedicated to sharing best practices and resources for creating better conditions for bicycling in Georgia. Our theme for the 5th Summit was "Complete Streets, Competitive Communities." Workshops and speakers emphasized the strong economic case for creating safe streets that serve all users.
