Hapeville Crit (Spin the District 2023)

FreeSaturday, April 29, 2023 is the first day of the last weekend of Speed Week. Join us for an action-packed afternoon of fast-paced family fun, with a city-block race course, artist market and food trucks just off of Hapeville’s Downtown Arts District.
It’s an all-day celebration with food and entertainment, plus free activities for kids and adults, including an artist market with great local vendors. Also, some of the country’s best cyclists will be participating in the fastest annual criterium event in the Southeast, if you’re into that sort of thing. You don’t need to know the first thing about cycling to enjoy the day’s events, but if you’re wondering what to expect, think Formula One on two human-powered wheels. The bikes come past faster than you’d think, with riders pushing 1500 watts—enough to power your dishwasher! With fields of over 100 cyclists in some hotly-contested races, that’s one heck of a lot of clean dishes.
