Coastal Bicycle Touring Club

Saturday, Sept. 28: Darien. THIS IS A NEW/REVIVED RIDE! Meet at Vernon Square (intersection of Franklin and Greene Sts) in downtown Darien. Much of both the longer route (41.9) and shorter route (24.1) is along the East Coast Greenway/Veterans Memorial Hwy. Very little traffic. Shorter route is out and back; it courses thru scenic Tolomato Island neighborhood as well as the Sapelo ferry launch area. Longer route is a large loop. Ride Leader: Kathy Schaefer, kwillyschaefer@gmail.com. Routes may be downloaded from Ride with GPS: “42 Mile 2024 Party Gras – Official” and “Darien to Sapelo Visitors Center”. Post ride meal in Darien at one of the local restaurants. We roll at 8:30 am.
Remember, next week, winter hours will be in effect and rides will start at 9 am.
