50% Georgia | 50% Alabama | 100% Awesome
For us, this one’s all “border” and no “war”—other than the battle between you and the gnar.
Circle February 24, 2024 on your calendar! For the third year in a row, Border Wars AL/GA is bringing back everything you loved from before, plus some exciting additions.
Head down to beautiful Franklin, Georgia and check out our brand-new start point. We’ve partnered with the city to turn our after-party into a downtown expo and festival on the square, where we’ll have live music, plenty of food and drinks for all ages, mud-free parking and riverside camping right on the banks of the Chattahoochee. With field limits doubled for this year’s three (not two!) routes, the whole gang can join in. Hop on for the 30-mile joyride or, better yet, compete in either the 62- or 100-mile race, where winners* take home a 100% handmade ceramic honeypot trophy courtesy of Grouchy Ass Pottery Studio!
Border Wars 2023 will be hosted by Independent Gravel and the East Point Track Club. Thanks to several new local sponsors, we’re able to bring you even more perks and extras, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting MTB Atlanta and the Heard County Food Pantry. Check the website for exciting details about the rides, the party, the prizes, the food, the swag, the weather—all the good stuff.
