" Walton County GA just took one more giant leap in becoming a premier bicycle friendly destination in our state. Social Circle unveiled their new Project Road Share trail head on May 14th to much fan-fare. The trail head is the second of it's kind in Walton County the first being in Good Hope. Social Circle's trail head is a public-private partnership with the City and Blue Willow Inn and Hot Rods Diner.The trail head boast of a three sided kiosk with route information, safety tips and information on the City of Social Circle, bike racks, access to restrooms and food."
Project Road Share is Walton County's program to "promote cycling as a part of living a healthy active lifestyle for the entire family." Through a combination of low-cost signage, route maps, community events, and online information, communities in Walton County encourage bicycling and create a welcoming atmosphere for visiting cyclists.
